As far as La Quinta goes, this was a pretty good hotel. It's not the most modern, but it was clean and well kept. The front desk staff was very friendly. The room wasn't huge, but it was nice and the bed was comfortable. I'll note that the shower had very good water pressure. The breakfast was simple, but it's complimentary and continental, so I can't complain. The best thing about this hotel is it's location right across from IKEA and near the I-275.

Front door was open to the outside (reported to be in need of repair for over a month by the staff) which is not good when the temperature outside is minus 4 (-4) degrees Fahrenheit! We decided to skip the "frozen" breakfast and just go out. Room was very sub-par as repairs looked as if they were completed by a third grader with too much Play-dough! Oh, and the best part was the heater which I took apart so the fan would stop hitting the guard. I know it is hard to keep things clean when it snows outside but it wouldn't hurt to run a sweeper now and then to clean up the salt.
Loved this hotel! The staff was so attentive and friendly and the rooms were spotless! Will definitely stay there again when we return to Michigan in the spring and fall
decent sized room, comfortable chair and desk. ample space for 1 person. nice mattress. clerks were friendly. basic breakfast. downside, located on heavy traffic street.
