Gorgeous hotel, friendly staff, some cool little amenities and a badass alarm clock :)
Unwelcoming, no smiles, not even the customary query "May I help you? ".
All of that being said my family and I had a great time being together so it was worth it. I won't be seeking to go back to this hotel, but I won't avoid it either.
This was a very nice hotel-new and clean, very comfortable. The staff was friendly but felt very green and overwhelmed. I had 3 rooms under my reservation and had called after noon asking if we got there around 1:30 if we could check in. I waited for the answer to that question for almost 5 minutes, which just made it seem that maybe they don't have all thier ducks in a row. I was told the rooms were not clean and no early check in. I said that was fine and went to lunch instead. We got to the hotel just before 3pm (check in time according to the Marriott site I booked the rooms on) and were told we could check into one room but the other 2 were not ready. I wasn't that worried about it since the rest of my guests weren't there yet. The manager had taken over checking me in at some point (the woman who had been checking me in at first was trying to reach housekeeping about the other rooms being ready) and I mentioned to him that it's fine the rooms weren't ready. He seemed a little hopped up about the whole affair and told me "Well, check in isnt until 4pm." I looked at him and told him that I received my confirmation email and it states 3pm as check in, and that it also states that on the Marriott website. He shook his head saying "Oh, really. No". And then proceeded to go to the website online, look at it, and not mention it again. Why even make up something like that? I wasn't even caring about it until the guy lied.
My daughter and her small children were displaced due to a tragic and horrific fire in which they lost everything. A local charitable organization procured lodging for her at the Fairfield Inn of which we are thankful; however, the hotel staff were very unfriendly and cold. The attidtude of the staff was horrendous at best. The hotel room was nice but, if you are vacationing and spending hard-earned dollars, I think you would want to stay at a place that treated you with respect and courtesy. Fairfield could use some training on how to treat all people hospitably, equitably and in a manner which speaks well of the hotel industry. The Fairfield Inn staff was hugely disappointing.
The staff is friendly, extremely welcoming and eager to help. Breakfast is delicious, definitely not what I expected! The rooms are clean, well kept, spacious and quiet. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Nice place, nice people. It's clean
The other bad thing about this place was the pool. We went there with kids and our big plan was to enjoy the pool with them. First, the pool is pretty darn small. Like, why did they even add a pool kind of small. Second, the chlorine levels in the pool and hot tub were super SUPER high. Near dangerous levels. We had to leave the pool because after going under my eyes were stinging so bad, I had never experienced anything like that. Honestly the chlorine level was reckless and they should really get that under control.
